A duo exhibition with visual work by Tessa van Helden and Robin Gerris

Both artists, each in their own way, reflect on the problems and the role of the photographic image in contemporary society. They work with archive material and old photos. This as a counterpart to the speed of the digital age and the visual culture in which we currently find ourselves. With this they want to facilitate a moment of reflection and contemplation for the audience where the viewer can think about past times that play their role now and in the future, thanks to the artworks shown.

Bergarde Galleries presents twelve fresh art talents during the Vers Kunst Weekend. They are upcoming artists / designers who take their steps in the professional art world. Come by for a weekend full of new art discoveries and interesting encounters.

Tessa van Helden (Dordrecht, 1995) investigates how people were portrayed in a modest way in the past. Her series of portraits shows the contrast with the contemporary glamorous way of photography.

Group exhibition 'high voltage' | TAC eindhoven

In the tenth exhibition in the Apprentice Master program of 2017/2018, Tessa van Helden, Sam Hersbach, Geert Marijnissen and Ryan Heath exhibit with artist Michiel Hogenboom as their master. 
The exhibition will take place from Thursday, April 19 to Sunday, May 13, 2018 at TAC in Eindhoven.

Solo exhibition 'i saw you in time' | bergarde galleries heerjansdam

"I saw you in time" is the solo exhibition of Tessa van Helden (Dordrecht, 1995), the new, young talent in the Bergarde Stal. Her hand-embroidered portraits stem from a fascination for archive material and old photos she finds and collects at flea markets. Her solo presentation can be viewed in the horse stable from 28 October.
